CASPER, Wyo — The Natrona County Fee addressed Tuesday what County Legal professional Eric Nelson described as a procedural “oversight” associated to the commission’s approval of CARES funds for Natrona County nonprofits.

On Feb. 16, the fee accredited by decision the disbursement of roughly $1.6 million in state-allocated funds to over 30 county nonprofits. This included $7,500 for the Platte River Rod and Gun Membership, of which Commissioner Dave North is president.

At a public but un-transmitted work session earlier to the Feb. 16 assembly, the fee thought-about every applicant individually, at which period Commissioner North vocally abstained from the consideration his membership’s software.

“Sadly, in the course of the formal assembly, the allocation was accredited en masse and I don’t consider that that abstention was correctly famous on the report,” mentioned Nelson on the fee’s formal meeting Tuesday, March 2.

Nelson then offered the fee with a decision affirming the Platte River Rod and Gun Membership’s allocation.

“I’m going to abstain from this vote,” North mentioned.  The remaining 4 accredited it unanimously.
