A San Bernardino nonprofit that helps girls transition from homelessness and incarceration to self-sufficiency has obtained $1.25 million from the Bezos Day 1 Households Fund.

Based in 2002, Time for Change Basis has helped more than 1,700 women make the transition. The nonprofit operates 17 places between the Inland Empire and Bay Space for these coping with the consequences of homelessness, household separation and the housing disaster.
