HelpAge India on Thursday grew to become the primary Indian NGO to be awarded the distinguished 2020 UN Inhabitants Award within the institutional class.
The number of HelpAge is in recognition of its work on inhabitants points and efforts within the realisation of rights of older individuals in India since 1978. The award was introduced throughout a digital occasion held at UN headquarters in New York to mark Human Rights Day.
The award brings focus to the difficulty of ageing with India housing an estimated 140 million aged. HelpAge, with 42 years of fieldwork, has presence in 125 districts throughout 25 states.
It really works for welfare of aged. The NGO impacts 2 million aged in India. — TNS
