The Venice Yacht Membership Charitable Basis introduced two $5,000 grants to finish its 2020 season of giving at its annual Donor Appreciation Night on Nov. 5.
Visitor speaker Stacey Ogea, library supervisor, accepted an award to The Library Basis of Sarasota County for a kids’s inventive work station on the Jacaranda library. She was joined by Victor Romano, a board member of the Library Basis.
The opposite visitor speaker, Col. Sean Corrigan (ret. Particular Operations, U.S. Military), accepted a grant for Particular Ops Warrior Basis. This Gulf Coast group establishes lifelong training, mentoring plans and scholarships for the kids of Particular Ops troopers killed in motion.
Each of those packages assist the VYCCF deal with two of its key objectives: childhood literacy and veteran companies.
