Native nonprofit Stand 4 One distributed over 150 meals to group members on Thanksgiving, making their second vacation meals drive successful, in keeping with program founder and Lompoc resident Veronica Williams.
The nonprofit on Nov. 25 doled out 110 full Thanksgiving meals — together with dessert — to households of six to eight folks, and fed 50 people, Williams stated.
Households and people lined up at the El Paraiso meals truck stationed within the 7-Eleven car parking zone on Ocean Avenue to simply accept a precooked dinner.
Funds for the Thanksgiving meal have been raised in partnership with group donors, Lompoc Albertsons and Vons, in addition to El Rancho Market of Solvang.
