Sort of Nonprofit: JVAS accomplishes its mission by means of advocacy, science, land stewardship, and schooling.
Populations Served: Blair, Bedford and Huntingdon counties in south central Pennsylvania and parts of adjoining counties. JVAS is among the state’s 21 Audubon chapters, with greater than 300 members. All are welcome to affix us at our program conferences or subject journeys.
Space(s) of Focus: Devoted to the conservation and restoration of pure ecosystems, specializing in birds, different wildlife and their habitats for the good thing about humanity and the Earth’s organic range.
What companies or packages does your non-profit present? Night packages are free and open to the general public. A free dinner begins at 6 p.m., adopted by the assembly at 6:45. We meet within the Bellwood-Antis Public Library at 526 Predominant Road, Bellwood, PA. The packages final about an hour, following a quick sharing of conservation information, wildlife sightings and membership enterprise. Discipline journeys, like our packages, run from September by means of June which deal with birds, wildflowers, bushes, reptiles and amphibians, wetland ecology, edible wild meals, mushrooms, geology and extra. Notice: Because of COVID-19, we’re holding Zoom night packages and have postponed subject journeys till the spring of 2021.
