United Manner, Albertsons donate 40 Thanksgiving meals

United Manner of Santa Barbara County teamed up with Albertsons in Goleta for the annual Albertsons Turkey Bucks fundraiser. 

The town’s two Albertsons shops collected donations to purchase 40 native households a Thanksgiving meal.

The households obtained a Thanksgiving feast that included turkey, pumpkin pie, King’s Hawaiian rolls, Sig Café broccoli or creamed spinach, fruit, russet potatoes and Signature Choose Butter High Bread.

Women Inc., Hope Elementary Faculty District and Harding Elementary Faculty helped determine the 40 households in want.

“We’re extraordinarily grateful to work with Albertsons, particularly throughout this difficult 12 months, to assist in giving households in want a Thanksgiving meal,” mentioned Steve Ortiz, president and CEO of  UWSBC.  “With the pandemic solely including to common vacation stresses, we’re pleased to supply a meal for households who would in any other case go and not using a Thanksgiving meal.”
