IID donates supplies to nonprofit organization and shelter



CALEXICO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) – The Imperial Irrigation District (IID) donates provides to the Brown Bag Coalition (BBC) to assist the homeless and the Catholic church shelter for males.

IID says some donations consisted of mattress sheets, comforters, towels, pillows, pillowcases, camp cots, first help kits, and toiletries.

BBC depends on donations from the neighborhood and companies to maintain supporting the homeless inhabitants.

“That is actually useful, and really a lot appreciated,” mentioned Maribel Padilla, co-founder and president of the Brown Bag Coalition. “We will assist others with these donations.”

IID Normal Supervisor Henry Martinez mentioned, “The district is proud to help the neighborhood, touching many lives, together with those that are much less lucky,” Martinez mentioned. “We admire the work of the Brown Bag Coalition and the shelter for males and are blissful to help their efforts to assist others.”
